Standard Driving Lessons
Standard driving lessons last 1 hour for a cost of £21 per hour for manual tuition and £22 per hour for automatic tuition.
If you've passed your test but haven’t driven for a while then this course is designed to refresh your skills and give you confidence behind the wheel. The course is tailored to the requirements of individual students and includes driving in Sheffield and Rotherham and on the motorway.
Test Booster Course - 10 hour course - £190 (£19 per hour)
Designed for people who have recently taken and failed their driving tests, this course focuses on core driving skills so you can build up your skills and confidence to pass your test. Bring your previous test sheet to the lessons so you can work with your driving instructor to sharpen the areas which resulted in a fail on your previous test.
This course is ideal if you’ve had some driving lessons in the past and know the basics but have had a break from lessons. After an assessment driving lesson, your instructor will decide on a starting point for developing your existing skills and knowledge and tailor the course to your individual driving needs.
30 Hour Intensive Driving Course - £510 (£17 per hour)
Most people take between 30 and 40 driving lessons (hours) to attain a standard that will give them a good chance of passing their driving test, in addition to any private practice you may receive. This course is suitable for new learners and follows the DSA's syllabus of providing quality instruction to give learners the skills needed to pass their test and be safe and confident drivers.
40 Hour Intensive Driving Course - £640 (£16 per hour)
This course will take almost anybody from a complete beginner up to test standard. The course will be tailored to the needs of the individual and will provide quality instruction in accordance with the DSA's tried and tested syllabus. Your instructor will put you forward for your test when you are both happy that you’re ready. If this means that you don’t require all 40 lessons then don’t worry, we’ll refund the lessons which you don’t use.
Pass Plus Course - £130
If you’ve recently passed your test but feel like you would benefit from more training in particular areas then this course is for you. The course is designed to build on your existing skills and includes driving in different weather conditions, night driving, rural roads, dual carriageways, motorways and driving in the town centres of Sheffield and Rotherham. It emphasises good forward planning and promotes safe driving for life.
Train to be an Instructor - £2495
For less than £2000 you too could have a successful career as a professional driving instructor, either working for yourself or with a guaranteed job with Steve's Driving School in Sheffield. The cost includes your first attempt at all of the qualifying exams. The fee also includes training equipment including books and DVDs.
Please note that the above prices do not include the cost of the theory test which is £31 or the driving test which is £62. Costs for these tests should be paid directly to the Driving Standards Agency, however, the instructors at Steve’s Driving School will be happy to book these tests for you.
If you pay for a course but don't use all the driving lessons you have paid for, the cost of your unused driving lessons will be refunded back to you at the price you paid. Alternatively, you can have any remaining credit put towards the Pass Plus Course should you wish to have further training after you have passed your test.
Remember that if the instructor feels you need any additional driving lessons they will advise you appropriately. Your instructor has the experience to know if you are ready to pass your test or not and they will only let you take your test if they feel you are ready.
